When you’re looking to replace all of your truck’s tires or just one, it’s important to shop around.  The type and size of tire will remain unchanged, so it’s a matter of finding a good name brand from a reputable company with good user reviews, and then finding the best price.  The tire market is dynamic, and good deals can be found if you look hard and bargain harder.  When needing discount truck tires, the internet is your best friend.

Discount truck tires can be found on various sites such as Discount Tire, Discounted Wheel Warehouse, Wheel Works, and all other retail store web-sites as well.

There are usually three types of sales for discount truck tires. 

Limited Time Sale

Every storefront will put some or sometimes even all of their tires on sale.  There can be an entire store markdown (i.e. 20% off until a certain date) or certain tires will go on sale.  Sometimes, an entire brand will go on sale (i.e. all Goodyear tires on sale) or tires for a particular type of car will be marked down (i.e. a mid-summer SUV snow tire sale).  You have some room for negotiation even when an item is on sale, and it’s worth trying to bargain with your salesman.

Buy 1, Get 1 Free

Usually, there is more room to negotiate when you are purchasing all four tires.  Despite the heading, most “free” tires are given when three are purchased.  This normally comes to a 25% discount, which is significant.  Once in awhile, you find deals where the purchase of one discount truck tire will yield you 50% off the second tire.  Depending on the store, and the policies, it may be in your best interest to purchase your tires in two separate purchases to get the best price.

Tires in these particular stores are not “on sale”, technically.  Tires available at these discount or wholesale stores are almost always marked below their competitor’s through special negotiations with the manufacturers, or sometimes, from buying overstocked tires from other retail stores at much lower prices.  Selection may be more limited, and you may have to consider the type and size of tire you need, but settle for a brand that you have never heard of in the past. 

When looking for discount truck tires, it’s important to read reviews of the tires themselves, but also, read reviews on the store as well.  Purchasing good tires is important, but so is receiving good service, timely delivery, and excellent warranties.  Many manufacturers extend a warranty for you, but many good stores will extend a store warranty too.  Also, the manufacturers are not the ones actually installing the tires, so assessing the company from which you will purchase your discount truck tires is almost as important as the tires themselves.
